Job Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet communication and learning needs
  • Support communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL), spoken language, or total communication
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and related service providers
  • Monitor and document student academic and functional progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Provide guidance on the use of assistive listening devices and classroom accommodations
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulatio
