Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations to identify students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs.
  • Administer and interpret appropriate psychological and educational assessment tools in accordance with professional standards.
  • Prepare clear and accurate evaluation reports documenting assessment findings, recommendations, and educational implications.
  • Participate in initial, annual, and triennial IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations to support student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, administrators, families, and related service providers as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and classroom support strategies.
  • Assist in developing appropriate interventions, accommodations, and behavioral supports based on student assessment data.
  • Support students through counseling, crisis intervention, social-emotional support, and other appropriate school-based services when applicable.
  • Monitor student progress and help teams evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and educational supports.
  • Assist with MTSS, behavioral intervention planning, and other school-based student support initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely assessment, service, and student records.
  • Communicate assessment findings and recommendations clearly with parents, guardians, educators, and other professionals.
  • Support compliance with IEP requirements, IDEA, Section 504, California special education regulations, and applicable school policies.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, respectful, and student-centered educational environment.
