Job Responsibilities

  • Teach groups of students.
  • Meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
  • Discuss students’ progress with parents and support staff.
  • Adapt learning materials to students’ needs and create Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Track and reflect on students’ progress.
  • Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed.
  • Prepare students for the transition to the next grade.
  • Coach/mentor other professionals working with children with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with support staff.
  • Perform all other duties related to the program.
