Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualised education programmes (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, behavioural skills, and social-emotional development.
  • Implement positive behavioural interventions and supports to maintain a safe and productive classroom.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to ensure coordinated services.
  • Assess student progress regularly and update instructional plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to support student success.
