Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with visual impairments.
Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, orientation and mobility, Braille literacy, and functional skills.
Adapt curriculum and materials to meet the unique needs of visually impaired students.
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, families, and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning.
Implement and monitor the use of assistive technology and accessible instructional materials.
Assess student progress and maintain accurate records and reports.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning opportunities.
Advocate for the academic, social, and emotional needs of students with visual impairments.
