Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing and health services to students based on individual health needs.
• Assess student health conditions and identify appropriate health support needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to authorized orders, school policies, and applicable requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans when required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date student health records.
• Support students with chronic health conditions and ongoing medical needs.
• Respond appropriately to illnesses, injuries, and health emergencies on campus.
• Provide first aid and emergency care within the scope of professional practice.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and healthcare providers.
• Communicate relevant health information to appropriate school personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
• Participate in multidisciplinary and student support meetings when appropriate.
• Promote student wellness, healthy habits, and age-appropriate health education.
• Follow school health procedures, professional nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and health-conscious school environment.
