Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee IEPs based on individual student priorities
  • Provide targeted instruction for students with varying support needs
  • Customize lessons and learning materials to match student abilities
  • Apply positive behavior and structured classroom support strategies
  • Measure academic, behavioral, communication, and functional growth
  • Refine instructional approaches using ongoing student progress data
  • Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and active school participation
  • Partner with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families
  • Keep progress reports and special education records accurate and current
  • Contribute to IEP reviews and multidisciplinary planning meetings
  • Follow California, federal, and district special education requirements
