Job Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implement established treatment activities and intervention strategies according to student needs and the supervising SLP’s plan.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to students receiving speech and language services.
  • Assist students with articulation, speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and functional communication skills.
  • Support communication development through structured activities, classroom strategies, and therapeutic exercises.
  • Follow students’ speech and language goals and individualized service plans as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Collect and document accurate data regarding student participation, performance, and progress.
  • Maintain treatment notes, service documentation, and other required records.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities for speech and language sessions.
  • Support classroom communication strategies and carryover of speech and language skills into educational activities.
  • Observe student performance and communicate relevant progress or concerns to the supervising SLP.
  • Participate in appropriate educational team meetings and collaborate with teachers and related service providers.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and follow school policies and professional requirements.
  • Provide services in a safe, respectful, inclusive, and student-centered environment.
