Job Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implement established treatment activities and intervention strategies based on individual student needs.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups as appropriate.
  • Support students in developing articulation, speech, language, fluency, and functional communication skills.
  • Follow individualized treatment plans and applicable IEP goals under the supervision of the supervising SLP.
  • Collect, record, and document data related to student participation, performance, and progress.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential therapy records, service documentation, and progress information.
  • Communicate relevant observations and student progress to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Assist with classroom-based communication strategies, activities, and appropriate learning supports.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other educational professionals.
  • Assist with the preparation and use of therapy materials and communication resources.
  • Participate in educational or multidisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.
  • Support a safe, positive, and student-centered learning environment.
  • Follow school policies, professional requirements, confidentiality standards, and applicable special education procedures.
