Speech/Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Job in Irvine, CA (SY 2026–27)

Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services under the direction and supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Implement individualized speech and language treatment activities based on established plans.
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and other communication needs as appropriate.
• Conduct assigned therapeutic activities and exercises according to the supervising SLP’s treatment plan.
• Collect and record student performance and progress data.
• Assist with monitoring student progress toward speech and language goals.
• Communicate observations and student progress with the supervising SLP and appropriate school staff.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities when requested and appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support communication skills in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and required reports.
• Follow school policies, professional requirements, and established procedures for student services.
• Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for students.
