Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized instructional plans based on student needs and IEP goals
Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments
Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and classroom activities to improve accessibility
Assess students' educational needs and use assessment information to guide instruction
Support students in developing academic, communication, functional, and independent-living skills as appropriate
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals
Monitor, document, and communicate student progress toward educational goals
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
Coordinate with other professionals involved in supporting students with visual impairments
