Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group assistance to students with special education needs.
• Support students with academic, social, communication, behavioral, and functional activities.
• Implement individualized behavioral strategies under the direction of qualified professionals.
• Assist with the implementation of educational and behavior support plans.
• Reinforce positive behaviors, appropriate communication, self-regulation, and independence.
• Support students during classroom routines, transitions, activities, and daily learning tasks.
• Collect and document student behavior and progress data as required.
• Assist students in developing appropriate social interaction and classroom participation skills.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, BCBAs, therapists, and other school professionals.
• Help maintain a structured, safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
• Provide consistent support while respecting individual student needs and learning styles.
• Follow student-specific plans, school procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional guidelines.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in educational activities.
