Special Education Aide / Behavior Therapist Job in Stockton, CA (SY 2026–27)

Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and classroom support to students
• Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, routines, and transitions
• Implement established behavioral strategies and intervention plans under appropriate supervision
• Support students in developing communication, social, adaptive, and functional skills
• Reinforce positive behaviors using approved strategies and techniques
• Collect and document student behavioral and academic data as directed
• Monitor student participation and progress and communicate observations to the educational team
• Support students in maintaining appropriate classroom behaviors and interactions
• Collaborate with special education teachers, behavior professionals, therapists, and other school staff
• Assist with implementing individualized education and behavior goals
• Provide support during classroom, group, and school activities as assigned
• Maintain accurate and confidential student documentation
• Follow school policies, safety procedures, and applicable special education requirements
• Promote a respectful, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
