Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Provide specialized instruction using appropriate communication methods (e.g., American Sign Language, oral communication, total communication)
Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet students’ hearing and learning needs
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
Support students’ language, speech, and social development
Utilize assistive listening devices and technology to enhance learning
Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide consultation and resources to staff regarding DHH best practices
