Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other behavioral assessments based on individual student needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Analyze behavioral and student performance data to identify patterns, measure progress, and guide intervention decisions.
  • Establish measurable behavioral goals and recommend appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Provide behavior consultation and support to students, teachers, classroom teams, and school staff.
  • Implement evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies based on student needs and educational goals.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of behavioral interventions and make data-informed adjustments when appropriate.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions, providing behavioral recommendations and relevant student information.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, families, administrators, therapists, and other related service providers.
  • Provide guidance, consultation, and training to school staff regarding positive behavior support strategies and intervention procedures.
  • Support students in developing positive academic, social, communication, self-regulation, adaptive, and behavioral skills.
  • Promote proactive and positive approaches to behavior management across classroom and school settings.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely behavioral records, progress documentation, and required reports.
  • Communicate student progress and behavioral recommendations clearly with appropriate educational team members and families.
  • Follow professional ethics, school policies, special education requirements, and applicable behavioral service guidelines.
