Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to identify students' functional and educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills.
• Use appropriate therapeutic strategies to improve classroom participation and student independence.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate therapy records and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary educational planning.
• Recommend appropriate accommodations, modifications, adaptive strategies, and equipment when needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Provide consultation and recommendations to support students within classroom and school environments.
• Communicate with families and educational teams regarding student progress and therapy needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies, professional standards, and applicable special education requirements.
