Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health support to students during the school day.
• Assess and respond to student health concerns and medical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to authorized plans.
• Implement student healthcare plans and required accommodations.
• Monitor students with chronic health conditions and special healthcare needs.
• Maintain accurate health records and nursing documentation.
• Communicate with parents, guardians, teachers, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Support students with disabilities and medically complex needs.
• Provide health education and promote healthy habits.
• Respond appropriately to illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings when appropriate.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow applicable health and safety requirements.
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment.
