Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Develop individualized speech and language therapy plans based on student needs.
• Provide individual and small-group speech and language therapy services.
• Address articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and other communication needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate evaluation records, treatment documentation, progress notes, and required reports.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute relevant assessment and progress information.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Recommend appropriate accommodations, communication supports, and classroom strategies.
• Support students in developing communication skills needed for academic and social participation.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable school policies and special education requirements.
• Provide services in a professional, student-centered, and inclusive manner.
