Speech/Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) jobs in Pacifica, CA

Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Assist with individual and small-group therapy sessions based on established treatment plans.
• Implement assigned speech, language, and communication activities.
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and other identified communication needs.
• Collect and record accurate data related to student performance and progress.
• Maintain required therapy documentation, session notes, and progress records.
• Follow individualized treatment plans and recommendations provided by the supervising SLP.
• Communicate relevant student progress and observations with the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Support communication strategies and accommodations within classroom activities when appropriate.
• Encourage positive student participation and development of functional communication skills.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow school policies and applicable special education requirements.
• Perform assigned responsibilities under the appropriate supervision of the supervising SLP.
