Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students’ functional strengths and areas requiring support.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy plans based on assessment findings and student educational needs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to support students’ academic participation and functional development.
• Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, coordination, self-care, and classroom participation needs.
• Develop and implement therapy strategies aligned with students’ IEP goals and educational objectives.
• Recommend appropriate accommodations, modifications, adaptive equipment, and classroom supports.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute assessment results, goals, progress updates, and recommendations.
• Monitor student response to therapy and maintain accurate service documentation and progress records.
• Provide consultation and practical strategies to classroom teams to support students’ functional and sensory needs.
• Support students in developing greater independence with school routines and daily activities.
• Adjust intervention strategies according to student progress and changing educational needs.
• Maintain professional documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable school and occupational therapy requirements.

Job Schedule

• Regular 7–8 Hour School Day
• Monday Through Friday Workweek
