Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify behavioral needs and contributing factors.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Design and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on student needs and assessment findings.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Provide behavioral consultation and support to students, teachers, classroom staff, and school teams.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary student support discussions.
• Support the development of strategies that promote positive behavior, communication, social interaction, and classroom engagement.
• Provide guidance and training to school staff on appropriate behavioral strategies and intervention procedures.
• Monitor student progress and make data-informed adjustments to behavioral programs when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate assessment records, intervention documentation, progress reports, and required service information.
• Promote student independence, self-regulation, functional skills, and successful participation in school routines.
• Follow professional ethics, school policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable educational standards.
